“I think Shalshelet is great. My kids
may go for the friends and the food
but...Shalshelet exposes them to issues
from multiple perspectives and
gives them a framework to shape
their individual identities as Jewish
adults” -Shalshelet parent

The Shalshelet Goal
Shalshelet was founded four years
ago by Cantor Wartell. Our goal is to
provide an environment where Jewish
teens can gather to talk about
issues that effect their lives and futures
as both Jews and citizens in the
global community. We strive to foster
cooperation and offer multiple
viewpoints.

“I liked being able to discuss issues that are important to me and we also explored issues that I had not even thought about before.” -Shalshelet teen
